Why have I created this football blogspot?

I've always wanted to create a blog, or a dairy, or at least something to track the progress that I have been fortunate to make over these last few years. The time has now come, just over a year after starting University that I now have something worth writing about, that people may want to hear.

The blog will not be about be about the latest transfer rumours, nor will it be about anything about the professional game as such, but the journey or rather the challenge I have taken up as a 21 year old trying to make a career in the football industry around the world. An industry that is renowned for being one of the most cut throat in the contemporary world.

My aim is blog about all the challenges, set backs and progressions that I make whilst at University trying to make the transition into football on a worldwide basis.

My background is in football in England, admittedly a failed player who was released from Academy level at 19, and has now turned to coaching in hope of being able to carve out a career in the game I love. My love of the game is one of the major factors that helped me decide to try and make it, my obsession with everything to do with the game, from watching to playing, analysing to coaching, for the development of the game both as a tool to aid wider social issues to the development of the game itself.

I have coached in America, England, and now a new chapter as started in my life in New Zealand. All completely different cultures, but yet all tied with an interest of football on various levels.

My next challenge is to make that transition into football in New Zealand. A challenge I wish to share with you.
